Dario Argento's 1977 supernatural thriller SUSPIRIA will be receiving a 4k restoriation and release on UHD, Blu-ray, DVD, VOD, as well as in select cinemas in the UK from Cult Films. This UK Cinema tour will conclude with a very special event in London: an evening with Dario Argento; featuring a Q&A with the maestro himself and a presentation of the film.

From the images on the Cult Films website the colours really look to pop highlighting the real aesthetic beauty of the film. If you are not already familiar with the film (although I suspect 99% of you are) in a reduced synopsis it basically follows an American newcomer (Jessica Harper) who relocates to a prestigious ballet academy in Germany only to gradually come to realise that the school is a front for something far more sinister and supernatural.

This label does look one for world cinema fans in the UK, such as ourselves, to keep an eye on particularly with releases that include MARRIAGE ITALIAN STYLE, JULIET OF THE SPIRITS, LA DOLCE VITA, 8 1/2 and just recently YESTERDAY, TODAY AND TOMORROW amongst many other gems...not forgetting Enzo Catellari's western KEOMA staring Franco Nero.
